The Vacate Cleaning Checklist Professional Cleaners Use

Here in Perth, end of lease cleaning can be a quite the mission as real estate agents and property managers are notoriously fussy about the condition you leave your rental property in. If you don’t want to risk losing your bond, it’s important that a thorough vacate clean is done after you have moved out and before you hand in your keys.

The thousands of successful vacate cleans we have under our belt has taught us that having a thorough cleaning checklist is not just a good idea, it’s practically essential. Gone are the days when ‘giving everything a wipe down’ will cut it; especially when there are some tasks that may not have been attended to for quite some time. How often do you clean your window tracks? When was the last time you cleaned your exhaust fan covers? What will be left behind when you remove the fridge from its nook?

Due to popular demand, we have decided to post a copy of our vacate clean checklist here – an overall summary as well as a room-by-room breakdown that you can print out and use yourself. As we offer partial vacate cleans too, where you do part of the job and we do the rest, these checklists can also be useful to help you decide what tasks you’ll be able to do yourself.

The quick checklist

Use this vacate clean quick checklist to see all the items we clean in each area of your property. Only window cleaning, window tracks and a few other tasks are charged for separately; all other cleaning tasks fall under ‘general vacate cleaning’. Please note that we DO NOT clean or remove mould and we DO NOT clean blinds. 

We work systematically through from top to bottom and heavily soiled items are left to soak to minimise scrubbing time. We provide all products and equipment needed for the whole job, including vacuums, mops, ladders, and cleaning products.
